The everyday burnt-clay brick for foundations, walls and durawalls. Usually plastered, so a sound, well-fired brick matters more than a perfect face.
A red common fired hot enough to leave a blue-grey core. That hard burn gives a stronger brick that takes up less water – the one to choose for foundations and exposed walls.
Bricks that keep their shape and square edges with little crumbling: quicker to lay to a line, and less waste on site.

As a rule of thumb, a half-brick wall (110 mm) takes about 52 bricks per square metre and a one-brick wall (230 mm) about 104, plus 5% for breakage. A typical four-roomed house needs around 12,000.

A standard load is about 5,000 bricks. Larger orders are split into several trips, and your quote shows the price of each one.
Bricks are sold in whole pallets of 500, so the smallest order is 500 bricks. Delivery is priced per trip, so a full load works out cheaper per brick.
